ICONOTECH GCP ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
TAKES THE GUESS WORKOUT OF CASE PRINTING COSTS
To be Unveiled at Pack Expo, October 29-November 2, 2006, Booth #S-3071
CLINTON, CT (September 2006) - ICONOTECH, Iconotech, the leading supplier of digital case printing equipment, has created a Generic Case Printing (GPC) Assessment tool that shows companies if they are in a position to dramatically lower their corrugated costs by eliminating the burden of preprinted case inventory. Iconotech will offer the GCP Assessment at Pack Expo, Chicago, October 29 - November 2, Booth #S-3071 to all attendees who use preprinted shipping cases. Those who fit the savings profile will qualify for a 60-day free trial of an Iconotech printer.
"We have seen it so many times," says Rick Swearingen, general sales manager of Iconotech. "Companies who have many skus are held hostage to their corrugated supplier when they rely on preprinted cases. Replacing preprinted outer cases with generic cases can cut costs by as much as 40 percent. With the greatest expense being the cost of the box, you gain immediate savings by changing your buying patterns. Buying larger quantities of each case size and getting competitive quotes for your corrugated needs from other vendors, will immediately cut your corrugated costs," says Swearingen. "Add in the smaller inventory, a simplified warehousing program, no case obsolescence, printing plates or extra charges, and the savings continue to grow."
The Iconotech OPTIMIZER case printer, which will be on display, provides the perfect in-house case printing system. Operating at a speed of up to 60 cases per minute, the Optimizer prints bar codes, logos, and nearly unlimited text in an area of up to 11" x 32" on two sides of the case. The cost for an Iconotech printed case, including materials and labor, is less than 1-1/2 cents per case for two adjacent panels. Iconotech’s printing quality is so superior it will leave you asking, "Is it preprint or is it Iconotech"?
An off-line printing system, the OPTIMIZER gives the manufacturer the freedom to schedule to the production line and print cases as they are needed for packaging. It uses a durable, low-cost disposable film instead of printing plates, so print changes can be made at the last minute. The Optimizer gives preprint quality at a fraction of the cost and puts the manufacturer in control of his corrugated costs.
