ICONOTECH EXPANDS THEIR SALES TEAM
WITH THE ADDITION OF BILL PETERSEN AS ACCOUNT MANAGER
CLINTON, CT (January, 2001) - ICONOTECH, the originator and leading manufacturer of
digital case printing (DCP) equipment, is thrilled to welcome Bill Petersen to their sales team
as Account Manager. Once a customer of Iconotech, Petersen grew to know the company
and became passionate about its product line. In turn, he left a 21+ year career on the plant
floor and, as a strong advocate of DCP turned to sales.
According to Linda Bertelsen, Marketing Manager of Iconotech, “Bill is a marvelous
walking testimonial for production and management people. He is selling a product he
knows first hand and believes in.”
In the mid-90’s, while Petersen was working as Director of Corporate Purchasing for
Clear Shield National, Inc., a manufacturer of plastic cutlery and drinking straws, he was
introduced to Digital Case Printing. After researching various options to print graphics, text
and bar codes, he approached the President of Clear Shield and recommended they eliminate
the majority of pre-printed cases and move to a generic carton program with DCP.
Petersen calculated the savings DCP brought by eliminating pre-printed boxes. “The
initial savings I found with DCP was just the beginning,” says Petersen. “What the machine
saved over time as more and more of our boxes were consolidated and printed by the DCP
per production demands was incredible.”
The reduction from 60 to 70 pre-printed stocks to only 10 active boxes also freed up an
enormous amount of warehouse space, and allowed for a greater purchasing dollar. “Taking
an actual floor inventory down by 60% is not uncommon with Digital Case Printing,” states
Petersen.
After seeing the success of DCP, Petersen is ready to spread his knowledge to
manufacturing plants nationwide. As Iconotech’s newest Account Manager, Petersen wants
to have other plant managers experience the same level of success as he did. “I wouldn’t
have moved if I didn’t have total faith in DCP technology,” says Petersen. “It’s a great
product and it does exactly what it says it will. This was the best move I’ve ever made.”
Bill Petersen and his wife and three children reside in Mount Prospect, IL. He has
been married for 23 years. For more information about Iconotech and the product line,
