Most items packaged for the baking industry, such as baking powder, corn meal, salt, dried milk, sugar, starches, and flour, are packaged in bulk. FDA regulations require the manufacturer to list all ingredients and use a compliant bar code on all kraft bags and shipping cases. Iconotech digital case printers print bags and cases on demand. Ingredient lists and UCC codes can be changed instantly eliminating the need for pre-printed stock and avoiding waste due to obsolescence.

The Economizer (ideal for short run operations) and Maximizer (for higher runs) Digital Bag and Case Printers are both designed to print on large and small bags, flat cases, die cuts and blanks. The Economizer is equipped with a hand-fed press that provides a low-cost means
of printing almost any shipping container. An operator simply adjusts the guide bar on the feed table to the width of the product, then feeds it to the print cylinder.
The Mzximizer is equipped with a powerful vacuum feeder and includes a lift table magazine holding up to 100 bags or 60-90 single sheet die cuts depending upon the flute size. Product is loaded onto the lift table, which rises as each piece is picked off the top of the stack by vacuum cups and fed between rollers moving them into the press.
